Let's be inspired...
Check out this TED Talk video (it's 11 minutes)
Then let's have a class discussion on this blog post below...
Looking at our school, our community, our program, our culture, and everything else, what is the WHY of our program? Why Broadcast Media?
Why are we doing what we are doing? Post your answer to this question, then follow along as others make their posts. As you see comments that you connect with, agree with, disagree with, have questions on, continue the discussion. I will be with you on this discussion today.

Why? How? What? What do we do? How do we do it? Why do we do it?
ReplyDeleteSo, what do we believe?
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how people created thing that has changed the future
ReplyDeleteSo, we have to think 'backwards' to get better results(?)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think, Sonya? I am asking you the question back. Do we have to think 'backwards'?
Deletemore fun is thinking backwards (Yoda moment)
Deletenice kylie
DeleteWell, that's what i got from the video.. i never thought we would use "Why" to gather more people than a How or a What. but now if you bring up why first then you have their attention and you can add in a little how then what..
Deletethat was deep sonia
DeleteThe way we act and the way we think is from the inside out
ReplyDeleteWe all sit on different places on a scale.
ReplyDeleteThe goal is to have people believe what you believe , so if we have the students here at the school believe what we believe then we will have more views on our videos and our broadcasts can attract more of an audience. We should be the leaders of the school but we need to make sure our followers are not forced to follow but they are wanting to follow.
ReplyDeleteUsing Why, How, What some businesses are able to inspire by using this. The why is what not all businesses use. Using the why first, it makes you want to buy it more. Our brain is like the circle. The what is our language, the how and why is the part that controls language and emotion. If you start with why you are more likely to inspire others.
ReplyDeletehow will this video help us?
ReplyDeleteyou have to think backwards to answer this question! (yoda moment)
DeleteReverse order of how you advertise.
ReplyDeleteSay why you do it not what.
This has showed me that there is more to buying things/making them. There is a why, how, and a what.
ReplyDeletewe have to think backwards to be able to understand things in an emotional wya
ReplyDeletethat guy sure knew what he was talking about

ReplyDeleteGreat video, oddly repetitive.
ReplyDeleteThe video had a repetitive tone to get the point across.
It gave off a sort of advertisement sound, mainly about technology.
The thought that there are a ton of technology, possibly all the same, only different because of their brand, but, we choose technology based on popularity or what we hear people think of it.
